ISLAMOPHOBIA - ALARMING STATEMENTS

ISLAMOPHOBIA - ALARMING STATEMENTS

compiled by Sheila Musaji

Note:  This is a consolidated collection of these statements that were formerly in articles divided by year.  This one collection replaces all of the previous collections.  We are still adding material, and will update this regularly.

This is one of the difficult issues to dialogue about, but it is an issue that needs to be dealt with - What was the religious affiliation of:  - Those who enslaved and murdered the Native Americans; - Those who colonized most of what is now the “Third World”; - Those who dropped the atomic bomb; - Those who developed and participated in the political systems of Naziism and Fascism; - Those who carried out the Rwandan genocide?; - Those who participated in torture at Abu Ghraib; - Those who carried out ethnic cleansing against the Bosnian Muslims; - Those who were responsible for the death of millions in Germany’s death camps?  If the answer to any of these questions had been Islam then the criminals would have been identified as “Islamic” If the answer to any of these had been Arab, then the criminals would have been identified as Arab.

“The leap from deviant Muslims perpetrating atrocities to a religion being impugned for the sins of its supposed adherents is breath-taking in its audacity. This distinction has become critical ever since the ‘’showdown with Saddam” transmuted into the ‘’war on terror.” With the daily mind-numbing imagery of maniacal Muslim ‘’insurgents” savaging troops and civilians alike, a transformation rapidly took place: The problem was just not Muslim terrorists but an ‘’evil” Islam itself. This is a theme broadcast with malevolent glee by talk shows on a daily basis thereby intensifying suspicion, fear, contempt, and hatred of Islam. Demonizing Islam makes it the enemy in the ‘’war on terror.” ... Ironically, it is us Muslims who have the greatest vested interest in eradicating terrorism. We need to do this to salvage our religion and our self-respect. As long as we are marginalized by the West and taunted by the extremists, we are made to feel as if we were part of the problem rather than of the solution, and our commitment becomes ambivalent. If the so-called war on terrorism has any chance of being won, there needs to be an immediate redefinition of the enemy.” Foe isn’t Islam, it’s Binladenism, Abdul Cader Asmal

Clearly we have free speech in the U.S., and the line between hate speech and free speech is difficult to draw.  My hope as an American Muslim is that we are able to learn to have respectful speech that does not close off the possibility of dialogue and alienate the very Muslims who could act as a bridge between cultures.

The villification of Muslims, Arabs, and Islam has become relentless.  Repeating the same things over and over again has been shown to create credibility. False logic seem plausible, and even outright lies repeated enough begin to sound like the truth.  Sadly, these stereotypes have replaced knowledge with ignorance and misperception, and ignorance fuels hatred of what we don’t know much about.  Muslims are consistently portrayed as “the other”, not part of us, and imposible to understand, and so not worthy of tolerance.  Just the mention of Islam creates a feeling of fear on the part of many non-Muslims because of what they have heard so often and causes them to believe that this fear is reasonable.

These quotes are being collected because to Muslims they represent Islamophobic statements that do damage to any possibility of dialogue.

Some of these people are good people who don’t normally engage in offensive speech.  Some of the statements are offensive, but not hateful.  Nevertheless, the fact that they have become so commonplace and mainstream and that so many people from all walks of life feel that insulting, degrading, and demeaning the entire religion of Islam and all Muslims is “reasonable” creates a climate of suspicion and fear.

And, the repetition of such statements results in seeing Muslims in a false light.

The most commonly repeated claims about Muslims are that “everyone knows” that most or all terrorists are Muslims, and there are no Christian and no Jewish terrorists (or terrorists of any other religious stripe), and that Muslims are inherently violent.  Everyone also knows that Muslims are not equivalent to real Americans, that they are the enemy within, and a fifth column,  that good Muslims can’t be good Americans, that they are not a part of our American heritage, that they are all militant,  that Islam makes Muslims “backward”, that Muslims have made no contribution to the West,  that Islam is “of the devil”, a Crescent menace, and an “evil encroaching on the United States”, and not a religion.  Everyone knows that this is a Christian nation, which everyone knows the Muslims are trying to take over, starting with getting an Eid stamp which is the first step towards shariah law, and by purposefully having more children than others to increase their numbers.  Everyone knows that Muslims have no respect for the Constitution.  Everyone knows that Muslims are given a pass by the elite media.  It’s “us versus them”.  They don’t speak out against extremism or terrorism, and even those Muslims who do speak up or seem moderate are simply lying or practicing taqiyyah.  The problem is that what “everyone knows” is wrong.  These self-righteous and incorrect statements are usually followed by a demand that the Muslim community do something about whatever is the false flag of the day or face the inevitable consequences.

In addition to these “everyone knows” statements of demonization and misrepresentation, there is also a whole industry of simply connecting with Islam or Muslims with any negative idea, event, or societal trend (even when there is no sane connection to make).  These I think of as “Through the Looking Glass” claims.  For example, lots of “news” items never happened, or are simply not true.

Arabs didn’t celebrate 9/11 at a Dunkin Donuts in New Jersey.  Budweiser did not pull all its product from the shelves of a convenience store where there was celebration of the terrorist attacks - this never happened.  The Muslim statement of faith (Shahada) is not an expression of hate.  An American Missionary in Africa didn’t face possible murder charges and hanging because of a traffic accident.  There is no verse of the Qur’an on “The Wrath of the Eagle”.  The supposed bomb threat made by an Arizona student that led to an evacuation of the school was a hoax by non-Muslim students.  The story that Iran was considering forcing Jews to wear a yellow star appeared in several publications and it was totally false.  The slaying of the New Jersey Coptic family was falsely charged to Muslims.  The story about the British banks banning piggy banks so as not to offend Muslims never happened.  Muslims are not more likely to support terrorism and violence than Christians or Jews.  Muslims did not destroy the Library of Alexandria.  Nurses in Britain were not “ordered to drop everything and turn Muslims’ beds toward Mecca five times daily”.  There is no  Muslim sword through the 41-cents mark on the U.S. Eid stamp.  Sirhan Sirhan is a Christian, not a Muslim.  The Virginia Tech massacre had no connection with Islam.  A bus driver in Britain didn’t tell passengers to get off the bus so he could pray.  Rachel Ray’s Paisley scarf is not a symbol of “murderous Palestinian Jihad” (and neither is a Keffiyah).  A Muslim student in Florida did not refuse to stand for the pledge of allegiance.  There were no Muslims acting suspiciously on Air Tran flight 297. Wearing a tee-shirt with Arabic writing on it does not make a person dangerous.  A Madrassah is simply a school.  The zebibah (prayer bruise) on some Muslims foreheads is not a sign of a “commitment to jihad”.  Jihad is not terrorism. Ashura is not a “Muslim blood festival”.  Muslims are not forbidden to have non-Muslims as friends.  The Nuclear Security Summit logo is an atom on a circular path, not an Islamic symbol, the U.S. Missile Defense Logo is not evidence of Obama’s ‘Submission To Shariah’, and neither is the Flight 93 memorial.  Barack Obama is not a Muslim, but so what if he was?  (Note: click on the links to see responses to particular claims or incidents

The fact that these “news stories” and articles are simply wrong doesn’t change the fact that they are “out there” and that they will be read and believed by many of the same folks who believe the supermarket tabloids.  They will be forwarded or passed on, and commented on, and the stories will grow and more and more people will accept them as “facts”.  I would hope that not only Muslims would be concerned with the dangers in this sort of stereotyping and dehumanizing of any segment of our population.  Here is a link to a collection of English translations of Nazi Propaganda: 1933-1945.  Exactly how is this different?

In order to see where this sort of inflammatory rhetoric comes from and might lead see:  Terrorism and violence carried out by non-Muslims (the majority) - Jewish extremist statements and viewsChristian extremist statements and views Religious extremism/ religious right - Incidents of Islamophobia by year  - Prejudiced, racist, or violent incidents at mosques  (by state and/or country) - Responses to particular incidents, events or claims A to L and M to Z (This includes: Responses to Claims Made ABOUT Islam and Muslims in General - Responses to Claims Made ABOUT Qur’an Verses, Arabic Terms, Prophet Muhammad - Responses to False Claims ABOUT Muslim Individuals & Organizations & Incidents Involving Muslims - Responses to Actual Extremist Statements & Incidents of Extremism or violence BY Muslims - Responses to Claims Made BY Specific Individuals and Organizations About Muslims.

ALARMING STATEMENTS:

D.L. Adams, President of Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) said “Neither our Founding Fathers, nor Lao Tse, Confucius, Gautama Siddartha, Saint Paul, Jesus, Isaiah, Moses, nor Abraham would recognize Islam as a bona fide religion, but would instantly understand it as the massive intellectual fraud that it is. Our cowardly leaders, in both Church and State, who claim it doesn’t matter what people believe, are fools. It matters that Muslims believe non-Muslims are inferior human beings. It matters that Muslims believe women are inferior to men. It matters that Muslims believe obedience and worship are the same thing and that conformity is the same as morality. It matters that Islam requires territorial sovereignty. It matters that Muslims believe that leaving Islam is equivalent to high treason. It matters what Muslims believe just as it matters what communists believe and what neo-Nazis believe.’’

The ADL (Anti-Defamation League) suggested that Islam’s declaration of faith, the Shahada, is an “expression of hate” that is “closely identified” with terrorism.  They later apologized.

Former Atty. General Bob Ashcroft who said that America has “no King but Jesus”.  In an interview with syndicated columnist Cal Thomas published on the internet site http://www.crosswalk.com he said: “Islam is a religion in which God requires you to send your son to die for him. Christianity is a faith in which God sends his son to die for you.”

Mark Alexander said “Make no mistake about it: Islam is our enemy. Islam represents all that is abhorrent to the West: coercion, lack of religious freedom, totalitarianism, and much else besides. But, as the West was built up on largely Christian principles, it is also the negation of the notion that Jesus Christ is man’s Saviour, man’s Redeemer. They say that Jesus Christ was not the Son of God; we say that He was! The West, as a civilization, has been built up on that notion.”  Alexander also said “Islam induces a frame of mind akin to fanaticism.”

Ayaan Hirsi ali said that  “Islam must be defeated. Not just radical Islam, but “Islam, period. Once it’s defeated, it can mutate into something peaceful. It’s very difficult to even talk about peace now. They’re not interested in peace.” and “I think that we are at war with Islam. And there’s no middle ground in wars. Islam can be defeated in many ways. For starters, you stop the spread of the ideology itself; at present, there are native Westerners converting to Islam, and they’re the most fanatical sometimes. There is infiltration of Islam in the schools and universities of the West. You stop that. You stop the symbol burning and the effigy burning, and you look them in the eye and flex your muscles and you say, “This is a warning. We won’t accept this anymore.” There comes a moment when you crush your enemy.”  10/07.  She also said “We are at war with all Islam.”  11/07

Martin Amissaid in Britain ”... the only thing the Islamists like about modernity is modern weapons. And they’re going to get better and better at that. They’re also gaining on us demographically at a huge rate. A quarter of humanity now and by 2025 they’ll be a third. Italy’s down to 1.1 child per woman. We’re just going to be outnumbered…. There’s a definite urge – don’t you have it? – to say, ‘The Muslim community will have to suffer until it gets its house in order’”. and [2]  10/07

David Atkins in an article on WorldNet Daily “I propose that the U.S. immediately adopt and publish the following nuclear doctrine: In the event of a WMD attack by terrorists on the U.S. homeland or U.S. military facilities overseas, the U.S will immediately and without discussion use its immense nuclear weapons capabilities to destroy the 100 largest Islamic cities on earth, regardless of state, and destroy all of the military facilities of Islamic-dominated states. This will include all of the capitals and at least the 10 largest cities of all Islamic-dominated states and the “holy” cities of Mecca and Medina. In addition, North Korean cities and military installations will be destroyed.

Lawrence Auster at the preserving western civilization conference said “It is important to understand that what makes Islam dangerous to non-Muslims is not that Muslims are morally bad people. The problem is not that Muslims are bad people, the problem is that they are good Muslims. Our concern is with the religion and the political ideology of Islam, which makes all Muslims dangerous to us, since all Muslims, even if they personally have no aggressive intentions, even if they are personally fine and lovely people, are part of the Islamic community and owe their highest loyalty to Islam. Therefore any increase in the number of Muslims among us means an increase in the power of Islam and the further spread of the Islamic law.”

You are saying, ‘Let’s cut and run.’ And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, ‘Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.’ “  Beck also said ”[t]he world is on the brink of World War III” and that “Muslims who have sat on your frickin’ hands the whole time and have not been marching in the streets” will face dire consequences. Beck made his comments toward Muslims who he claimed “have not been saying, ‘Hey, you know what? There are good Muslims and bad Muslims. We need to be the first ones in the recruitment office lining up to shoot the bad Muslims in the head.’ ” He predicted that the result will be that ”[h]uman beings are not strong enough, unfortunately, to restrain themselves from putting up razor wire and putting you on one side of it,” adding that “when people become hungry, when people see that their way of life is on the edge of being over, they will put razor wire up and just based on the way you look or just based on your religion, they will round you up.”

Joy Behar on The View, in a discussion of who airline passengers should sit next to on a plane, host Joy Behar said: “You want somebody who’s calm, you don’t want somebody who’s reading the Quran as you’re going down.”

Mark A. Beliles and Stephen K. McDowell who said in the book America’s Providential History “The goal of America’s Providential History is to equip Christians to be able to introduce Biblical principles into the public affairs of America, and every nation in the world, and in so doing bring Godly change throughout the world. We will be learning how to establish a Biblical form (and power) of government in America and we will see how our present governmental structures must be changed. Since the principles we will be learning are valid in every society and in any time in history, they will be able to be applied throughout the world and not just in America. As we learn to operate nations on Biblical principles, we will be bringing liberty to the nations of the world and hence fulfilling part of God’s plan for the nations.”

Yitschak Ben Gad consul general of Israel to Florida and Puerto Rico, said Muslims will always regard people of other faiths as second-class citizens. “They hate the Christians in Lebanon and they hate the Jews in Israel,”  he said.

Dwight Billingsley who said regarding including acknowledgement of Muslim students’ holidays in public schools:  “What we should be saying is that in the public square — in our public schools and other public places — mainstream American values and beliefs will prevail and that they must accept that. They can be a part of our cultural traditions if they choose to be, but we will not recognize their traditions as equivalent to ours because in our eyes, they aren’t. They can be included, but that means that their traditions will be tolerated, not elevated to equivalence with the traditional American cultural norms.”

Gordon BishopYes, the world today lives in two different worlds. There is no common ground between the two ideologies. Citizens of Western Civilization do not go around blowing themselves up in order to kill innocent children, women and men. Terrorists don’t wear uniforms. They represent no nation-state. They represent an ideology based on the death of all Jews, Christians and infidels. Americans are classified as infidels.”

All of them. If it was not for the religion of Islam, this world would be a much, much, much more peaceful place today.  If it were not for the religion of Islam, there would be many thousands, maybe tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of people alive today living peaceful, happy, and fulfilled lives than there are. Allah was a moon god, one amongst thousands of gods that Muhammad declared to be the one true god, whose origins go back to Baal worship. He is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that the Holy Bible declares to be the one true God. No… Allah is none other than Satan himself, and to compare the hateful religion of Islam to the revelation of the loving God of the Jews and Christians is simply ludicrous.”  2007

Alan Coruba said “I believe this century will be remembered as the one in which Islam began its long march to extinction. It will be defeated in its terror war and it will be defeated because many will abandon a “religion” that is repelled by modernity, denies human rights, and revels in the blood of its victims, calling their killers martyrs”.

Jerome Corsi “Let’s see exactly why it isn’t the case that Islam is a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion? Where’s the proof to the contrary?” ...—“Islam is like a virus—it affects the mind—maybe even better as an analogy—it is a cancer that destroys the body it infects.”

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States, one of their own! The Bible says ‘He will come from among you!’”

Steven Emerson said while receiving an award from B’nai Brith “The level of vitriol against Jews and Christianity within contemporary Islam, unfortunately, is something that we are not totally cognizant of, or that we don’t want to accept. We don’t want to accept it because to do so would be to acknowledge that one of the world’s great religions—which has more than 1.4 billion adherents—somehow sanctions genocide, planned genocide, as part of its religious doctrine.”

Lou Engle, a Christian evangelist, said the Muslim Prayer event “is much more than a nice little Muslim gathering. It’s an invocation of spiritual powers of an ideology” that “doesn’t have the same set of values that our nation has had.”  9/09

Jeffrey Epstein said “Many citizens are beginning to question whether we are currently fighting against radicalized fundamentalists or against the very pillars of the religion that these barbarians embrace. The realization that a major world religion would support the long term geo-political objectives of ruthless terrorist organizations—in particular, advocating world domination through violent conquest and/or genocide against those of other faiths is troubling at best.  ...  Indisputably, Islam is on the move. In terms of growth, it is outpacing every other religion on our soil. One must consider the grim reality that fundamental defects may actually be attributable to the religion itself ...”

Paul Erdman said “In the United States it has become politically incorrect in intellectual and political circles to even think in terms of a War between Civilizations. Yet that is precisely what we are talking about here. The Quran is the root source of the escalating Islam terrorism.”

Rabbi Yousuf Falay said “We have to make sure that no Palestinian individual remains under our occupation. If they (Palestinians) escape then it is good; but if anyone of them remains, then he should be exterminated”.

Oriana Fallaci said “Muslims breed like rats” and “the increasing presence of Muslims in Italy and Europe is directly proportional to our loss of freedom.”  She also said  “There is no such thing as good Islam,” and she compared the Koran, the Islamic holy book, to Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” and said she opposed the notion of dialogue between followers of Islam and other religions.

Rev. Jerry Falwell suggested that Muslims be excluded from federal faith-based initiative money because the religion is “bigoted” and “teaches hate.”  Falwell also said “Atheistic secular humanists should be removed from office and Christians should be elected ... Government and true Christianity are inseparable.”  And, also said that “Most American children do not know that this is a Christian nation ... [O]ur Constitution won’t work in Russia, won’t work in Haiti, won’t work in Iraq. It only works where the people believe in the Christ of the Bible. The United States of America.”  Falwell said on 60 Minutes “Muhammad was a terrorist”.

The Family Research Council who believes that ”[W]hile it is true that the United States of America was founded on the sacred principle of religious freedom for all, that liberty was never intended to exalt other religions to the level that Christianity holds in our country’s heritage. Our Founders expected that Christianity—and no other religion—would receive support from the government as long as that support did not violate peoples’ consciences and their right to worship.”

First Conservative Baptist Church in Florida posted a sign in front of the church that said “God Loves You, Allah Hates”

Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association said he wants to deport American Muslims.  “First, the most compassionate thing we can do for Americans is to bring a halt to the immigration of Muslims into the U.S. This will protect our national security and preserve our national identity, culture, ideals and values. Muslims, by custom and religion, are simply unwilling to integrate into cultures with Western values and it is folly to pretend otherwise. In fact, they remain dedicated to subjecting all of America to sharia law and are working ceaselessly until that day of Islamic imposition comes.  The most compassionate thing we can do for Muslims who have already immigrated here is to help repatriate them back to Muslim countries, where they can live in a culture which shares their values, a place where they can once again be at home, surrounded by people who cherish their deeply held ideals. Why force them to chafe against the freedom, liberty and civil rights we cherish in the West?”  He also said “It is time, I suggest, to stop the practice of allowing Muslims to serve in the U.S. military. The reason is simple: the more devout a Muslim is, the more of a threat he is to national security.”  He also said “Muslims continue to have as their objective the Islamization of the entire world, including the U.S., and are taught by their god to use force where necessary to accomplish the goal. The current objective of Muslim activists is to create a brand new Islamic state - meaning a state like New Jersey or Montana - out of existing jurisdictions and establish a virtual Islamic homeland in our midst.”  And, “Those who are willing to convert to Christianity and renounce Islam, Allah, Mohammed and the Koran may be welcomed, for they can become not just good Christians but true Americans.”  He said:  “Permits should not be granted to build even one more mosque in the United States of America, let alone the monstrosity planned for Ground Zero. This is for one simple reason: each Islamic mosque is dedicated to the overthrow of the American government. ... If a mosque was willing to publicly renounce the Koran and its 109 verses that call for the death of infidels, renounce Allah and his messenger Mohammed, publicly condemn Osama bin Laden, Hamas, and Abdelbaset al Megrahi (the Lockerbie bomber), maybe then they could be allowed to build their buildings. But then they wouldn’t be Muslims at that point, now would they?”

Hugh Fitzgerald posted an article on Jihad Watch in which he claims that conversion to Islam is “evidence of mental bizarrerie” and that “Those who are born into Islam and have managed to defect or escape are intellectually and morally superior people.”  He also wrote “Millions of Muslim migrants, now settled in Western Europe and even, to a thankfully much lesser degree, in North America. They give no signs of abandoning their loyalty to Islam and no signs of any permanent acceptance of the principles on which the Infidel nation-states in which they have been permitted to settle are built. They give no signs, en masse, of truly integating into a world which, of course, since every political, intellectual and moral principle of that world is flatly contradicted by Islam, of course they would not. Only a handful, who essentially abandon Islam (even if they pretend they have not, often calling themselves “cultural Muslims” by which they mean little more than a fond memory of certain kinds of cooking), can be intelligently integrated into Western societies. The rest remain a permanent source of disruption, misinformation, threat, and of course potential menace.” 8/19/07 - Hugh Fitzgerald of Jihad Watch—“But of course, Iran, as a Muslim state, cannot ever be permitted to acquire nuclear weaponry—not unless there is a mass apostasy, a return to Zoroastrianism, an embrace of Christianity, a willingness to contemplate free-thinking disbelief.”  Hugh Fitzgerald says converts to Islam are engaged in “civilizational slumming.”  About the zebibah (prayer bruise) on the forehead of some Muslims he said “Of course, the notion that only those with telltale zebibahs need worry us is comforting, but because it offers false comfort, it is itself a source of worry. It is not only those who flaunt that bathetic bruise of piety who are deeply committed to the duty of Jihad, but hundreds of millions of Muslims who take that duty seriously, but need have no zebibah as an outward sign of an inward determination.”

Fjordman wrote in The Global Politician “In a functioning democratic system ...  there should be no significant Muslim presence. Islam is toxic to a democratic society ...” 4/07

Rev. Gary Frazier, said  “... and it is not a handful of radical Islamists who are taking over the religion and hijacking it. The fact is, ladies and gentlemen, today if you read the Koran, and any person who reads their Koran, the holy book of the Muslims, and believes what the book says, over a hundred times it calls for the putting to death of any person that does not embrace the teachings of Mohammed.  ...  “Islam is a satanic religion.”

Rev. Jeff Fugate said “If you don’t want a Christian nation, then go to one of the many nations that are heathen already, rather than perverting ours.  You’re welcome to come, but leave your religions, your bibles, all your other things back where you came from.”

Brigitte Gabriel said “If a Muslim who has—who is—a practicing Muslim who believes the word of the Koran to be the word of Allah, who abides by Islam, who goes to mosque and prays every Friday, who prays five times a day—this practicing Muslim, who believes in the teachings of the Koran, cannot be a loyal citizen to the United States of America.”  Brigitte Gabriel has also stated: “America and the West are doomed to failure in this war unless they stand up and identify the real enemy: Islam.”  She also said “between Israel and the Arab world is the difference between civilization and barbarism and also said of the “Arabic world,” that they “have no soul.”  Gabriel is head of the Islamophobic group Act for America.

Frank Gaffney in the Wash. Times saidt increasingly appears” Obama “will be embracing the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood”.  Gaffney wrote an article titled Understanding Islam’s Threat to the U.S. Vital.  - After Pres. Obama’s Cairo Speech Gaffney said  “there is mounting evidence that the president not only identifies with Muslims, but actually may still be one himself.”   He said  “Barack Hussein Obama would have to be considered America’s first Muslim president.” (This article seems to have been removed from the web?) - Gaffney used a fake quote from Abraham Lincoln to make his point in another article that objection to the war in Iraq was “treason”.  (This article has also been removed)  - Gaffney accused MPAC of being “pro-Hamas” and having a “Wahabi” ideology. And, he accused ISNA of supporting terrorism. - Gaffney wrote an article accompanied by a photo of Elena Kagan in a turban which accused Kagan of being part of a secret ploy to institute Sharia law in the United States.  - Gaffney is one of the speakers at David Horowitz’ annual Islamo Fascism Awareness Week on college campuses.

Mike Gallagher a radio host, on Fox show advocated Muslims only check in lines at airports.

Pamela Geller said “We are witnessing an Islamized America. This is well beyond political correctness. We are enforcing Shariah. We will not insult Islam. That is Shariah. We self censor. That is Shariah. We disrespect ourselves, our nation, so that we might respect Islam. This is dhimmitude.”  She said regarding the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem:  “The dome has got to go. It is sitting atop the great Jewish temple. The dome has got to go. It’s time to push back and stop indulging evil. Evil is made possible by the sanction you give it. Withdraw your sanction (paraphrasing Rand).”  She also said ‘Islam is a Mental Illness’ .  Regarding the Hutaree she wrote an article titled “Despite Record Levels of Islamic Terror in U.S., FBI raids Christian Groups”, and she referred to the arrests as “In a word, nuts”.  She also said that Gen. Petraeus was pushing “jihadist rhetoric of Islamic anti-semitism”.  She also called Obama “President Jihad” and said about him “America has no clue what she is dealing with. The President of the United States is advancing jihad against the oath of office that he took. If he is agitating Muslims against Jews, will he declare war on Israel?”  Regarding the proposed mosque in NYC she said “What could be more insulting and humiliating than a monster mosque in the shadow of the World Trade Center buildings that were brought down by an Islamic jihad attack?” asked Geller, executive director of SIOA. “Any decent, American, Muslim or otherwise, wouldn’t dream of such an insult. It’s a stab in eye of America.”  She said “Muslims have no right to invoke Moses and Abraham. This is a delegitimization of Judaism. It is offensive and vile. And while Jesus is not my guy, the same thing goes for him. It is a delegitimization of Christianity. These are not Muslim prophets.”

Fox’s John Gibson said that the U.S. invasion “unmasked” Iraqis as “knuckle-dragging savages from the 10th century” 4/25

Newt Gingrich stated that Bush’s “strategies are not wrong, but they are failing,” in part because “they do not define the scale of the emerging World War III, between the West and the forces of Islam, and so they do not outline how difficult the challenge is and how big the effort will have to be.” 3/07 - Read his Islamophobic comments about the Cordoba House here.

Rabbi Yitzhak Ginzburg said “If you saw two people drowning, a Jew and a non-Jew, the Torah says you save the Jewish life first,”  - and “If every simple cell in a Jewish body entails divinity, is a part of God, then every strand of DNA is part of God. Therefore, something is special about Jewish DNA … If a Jew needs a liver, can you take the liver of an innocent non-Jew passing by to save him? The Torah would probably permit that. Jewish life has an infinite value.”

Rev. J. Don George who said ”Our faith is in Jesus Christ, and the Muslim community does not accept Jesus and God, and therefore we’re at odds with Muslims ... Any religion or ideology that refuses to acknowledge the lordship of Jesus Christ could be typified as a war against Satan.”

Rudy Giuliani in a speech at the RNC said: “For four days in Denver, the Democrats were afraid to use the term “Islamic terrorism.” I imagine they believe it is politically incorrect to say it. I think they believe they will insult someone. Please tell me, who they are insulting if they say, “Islamic terrorism.” They are insulting terrorists!” 9-08

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales who asserted in Senate testimony that while habeas corpus is “one of our most cherished rights,” the Constitution does not expressly guarantee habeas rights to United States residents or citizens. “There is no expressed grant of habeas in the Constitution; there’s a prohibition against taking it away.”  (Gonzalez should read this)

Rep. Virgil Goode said during a House debate on Iraq, that supporting the anti-escalation resolution would “aid and assist the Islamic jihadists who want the crescent and star to wave over the Capitol of the United States and over the White House of this country.”  Moreover, he said, “I fear that radical Muslims who want to control the Middle East and ultimately the world would love to see ‘In God We Trust’ stricken from our money and replaced with ‘In Muhammad We Trust.’” 2/07 He said “The Muslim Representative from Minnesota was elected by the voters of that district and if American citizens don’t wake up and adopt the Virgil Goode position on immigration there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office…”

Rev. Franklin Graham who said “This country was not built by Hindus, nor Muslims, nor atheists. It was built by Christian men and women.”  Rev. Graham also said  “We’re not attacking Islam but Islam has attacked us. The God of Islam is not the same God. He’s not the son of God of the Christian or Judeo-Christian faith. It’s a different God, and I believe it [Islam] is a very evil and wicked religion.”  Graham  also said that “Islam requires its followers to become suicide bombers in order to attain salvation”.  - Franklin Graham - on Nightline “If people think Islam is such a wonderful religion, then go to Saudi Arabia and make it your home,” Graham said. “Just live there. If you think Islam is such a wonderful religion, go and live under the Taliban somewhere.”  [url=http://english.gospelherald.com/article/ministries/1325/section/franklin.graham.criticizes.islam/1.htm]Franklin Graham said Islam teaches its followers to “persecute” others until they convert, with the aim being “total domination.”  Franklin Graham There is no escaping the unfortunate fact that Muslim government employees in law enforcement, the military and the diplomatic corps need to be watched for connections to terrorism.”  He said “I speak out for people that live under Islam, that are enslaved by Islam and I want them to know that they can be free, free through faith in Jesus Christ and Christ alone.”  He said ““I think the president’s problem is that he was born a Muslim, his father was a Muslim. Rev. George Grant who said ”Christian politics has as its primary intent the conquest of the land - of men, families, institutions, bureaucracies, courts, and governments for the Kingdom of Christ. It is to reinstitute the authority of God’s Word as supreme over all judgments, over all legislation, over all declarations, constitutions, and confederations. True Christian political action seeks to rein the passions of men and curb the pattern of digression under God’s rule.”

Anders Gravers, founder of Stop the Islamization of Europe (SIOE) said “We do not believe in moderate Muslims. We believe there are Muslims and those who want to leave Islam. Some Muslims are more active than others, but all Muslims want sharia law and Islam to rule the world.  Moderate Muslims are those who watch non-Muslims being killed, but still say Allah u Akbar when the killing is happening.    Therefore, we obviously oppose Islamists because Islamists are merely Muslims, and Muslims are Islamists.    We oppose immigration from Muslim countries.”

Earle Green said in the Tallahassee Democrat: “Unlike Tony Blair’s assertion after the London bombings that the cause is linked to promotion of “a perverted and poisonous misinterpretation of Islam,” politicians should stop trying to whitewash Islam and recognize that it is the root cause. Any individual who will take the time to read the entire Quran will find that it provides a clear ideology supporting and encouraging terrorist activity. The terrorists are nothing more than Muslims who are taking their religion seriously. As long as we continue to allow our thirst for oil and commitment to tolerance to keep us in denial of this dirty truth, we will continue to live with the bombs.”

Nick Griffin, British BNP leader, who has just been elected to the European Parliament, said there was “no place in Europe for Islam”.  7/09 He also said  ‘I’m not anti-Muslim, I’m anti-Islam’

Guilford County Republican Party Website has a link to a site called “Islam Exposed” that states: “This website was designed with 1 (sic) objective in mind - to expose one of the greatest evils on our planet - Islam. We have the evidence and materials to prove that this false religion is nothing more than a barbaric occult (sic) invented by savages for savages.”

Rev. John Hagee who called Catholicism “A Godless theology of hate that no one dared try to stop for a thousand years produced a harvest of hate.”   He also said “It was the disobedience and rebellion of the Jews, God’s chosen people, to their covenantal responsibility to serve only the one true God, Jehovah, that gave rise to the opposition and persecution that they experienced beginning in Canaan and continuing to this very day… Their own rebellion had birthed the seed of antisemitism that would arise and bring destruction to them for centuries to come…. it rises from the judgment of God upon his rebellious chosen people.”  He said “those who live by the Koran have a scriptural mandate to kill Christians and Jews.”  In his book his book, “Jerusalem Countdown,” he argues that a confrontation with Iran is a necessary precondition for Armageddon (which will mean the death of most Jews, in his eyes) and the Second Coming of Christ. In the best-selling book, Hagee insists that the United States must join Israel in a preemptive military strike against Iran to fulfill God’s plan for both Israel and the West.

Rev. Ted Haggard, president of the National Association of Evangelicals said  “The Christian God encourages freedom, love, forgiveness, prosperity and health. The Muslim god appears to value the opposite. The personalities of each god are evident in the cultures, civilizations and dispositions of the peoples that serve them. Muhammad’s central message was submission; Jesus’ central message was love. They seem to be very different personalities.”

Art Hall, Pres. of the NJ Press Assoc. wrote an article entitled “Keep the Muslims Out?” in which he said “The internal-external threat is like no other we have ever faced. It is from Islam.  The internal threat is from a tiny, well-placed minority of antichristians who stay up nights crafting schemes to convince us, against all historical evidence, that we are not a Christian nation, and that our biblical rulebook no longer has any place in society.”  “We were and are both a democratic and Christian nation in our fundamental structure. If we desire for America to remain thus, we must first recognize the current threats, and then develop the will to stand against those who are undermining them, those who detest what we cherish.”

Mary Ann Hogan, Florida Commissioners Wife said “Islam is a “hateful, frightening religion.”

Paul Hollrah wrote in The Conservative Voice “And if we allow Muslims to have complete religious freedom, will we also allow their Muezzins to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer over loudspeakers five times a day – at dawn, at midday, in mid-afternoon, at sunset, and two hours after sunset – in every city and town in America? And if we find a way to prohibit them from doing so, how long will it be before Muslims and the ACLU use the “equal protection” clause of our Constitution to prohibit Christian churches from sounding their steeple bells on Sunday morning? It’s a constitutional fait accompli. Get ready for it.”   He also said “Ultimately, it must be a matter of public policy in the West that Muslims will have the same right to practice their religion in western countries as Christians, Jews, and others enjoy in Islamic states. Nothing less will suffice. And if Muslims are unable to accept such reciprocity then we must be prepared to withdraw from them the First Amendment rights that they now demand.”

David Horowitz sponsors an annual Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week which is virulently Islamophobic -  Robert Spencer’s anti-Muslim “Jihad Watch” site is also a project of Horowitz’ foundation. - Horowitz runs a site called Discover the Network to track “left leaning” individuals,  and he maintains the anti-Muslim Front Page site.  -  He has regularly been part of McCarthyite attacks on Muslims and Arabs - His “David Horowitz’s News Real Blog” recently published an article by Jeanette Pryor titled It’s Time to Put the Coffee Down and Eradicate Islam in the West.  This article included the statement “It’s time to join the war, not on “terror” (that oh-so soothing illusion,) but on Islam in the West.  Most urgently, we must defend Israel as the frontline in the war against the spread of Islam.”  Allowing others like Robert Spencer, Hugh Fitzgerald, or Jeanette Pryor to spew their venom on sites which carry Horowitz name means that he is equally responsible for what they say.

Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee who said  “I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that’s what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than trying to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.”  Huckabee also suggested creating a Palestinian state elsewhere in the Middle East:  “There is only one place on earth where the Jewish people could have a homeland that is consistent with their roots, whereas the Palestinians can create their homeland in many other places in the Middle East, outside Israel.”  The Jewish Russian Telegraph reported “When asked about a Palestinian state, Gov. Huckabee stated that he supports creating a Palestinian state, but believes that it should be formed outside of Israel. He named Egypt and Saudi Arabia as possible alternatives, noting that the Arabs have far more land than the Israelis and that it would only be fair for other Arab nations to give the Palestinians land for a state, rather than carving it out of the tiny Israeli state.”  This is ethnic cleansing.

Michael HurdWe should bomb the mosques of Afghanistan first, and proudly. These mosques represent the mystical call to force which is the core of the Islamic terrorist movement. By destroying them, we could destroy the heart and soul of their movement—and well we should. They destroyed the heart of American capitalism—the World Trade Center—and the heart of American defense: the Pentagon. It’s the least we could do in return. And they have a whole lot more coming.”

Warner Todd Huston “Islam has become the KKK of the 21st century. The sooner we awake to this truth and take steps to ban the religion, or somehow curtail its pernicious influence the better. The west is going to have to put severe restrictions on Islamic Mosques and public display of Islam. Further, devout Muslims should not be allowed to hold public office (though it certainly should not become a racial issue – sins of the father should not be visited upon the sons).”

Samuel Huntington said “The West must also limit the expansion of the military strength of potential hostile civilizations, principally Confucian and Islamic civilizations, and exploit differences and conflicts among Confucian and Islamic states. This will require a moderation in the reduction of Western military capabilities, and, in particular, the maintenance of American military superiority in East and Southwest Asia.”

Ibn Warraq said in his forward to Robert Spencer’s book “The Myth of Islamic Tolerance” “Islam is a totalitarian ideology that aims to control the religious, social and political life of mankind in all its aspects; the life of its followers without qualification; and the life of those who follow the so-called tolerated religions to a degree that prevents their activities from getting in the way of Islam in any way. And I mean Islam, I do not accept some spurious distinction between Islam and ‘Islamic fundamentalism’ or Islamic terrorism’.”

Amil Imani said in her article “Islam is a Trojan horse”  “Disguised as religion, Islam has penetrated the democracies with the aim of replacing civility and liberty with the barbarism of theocracy and Sharia. Islam’s multi-prong attack aims to destroy all that liberty offers.  ...  Presently, America is faced with a formidable enemy in a Trojan horse called Islam. This imminent danger makes it imperative to revisit the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and make the necessary changes to legally defeat Islam’s subversion of the democratic system.  ...  Bluntly speaking, no one can be a faithful Muslim and an American at the same time. As more and more Muslims arrive in non-Islamic lands, as they reproduce with great fecundity, as they convert the disenchanted and minorities, and as petrodollar-flush Muslims and Muslim treasuries supply generous funds, Muslims gather more power to undermine the democratic rule.  ... Islam must be recognized for what it is: a Trojan horse carrying in its belly what will assuredly slaughter all who stand everything that is precious to free people.”

Don Imus Imus said that Palestinians eat dirt, referred to Arafat’s wife as “that fat pig of a wife,” and then when his sidekicked called them “stinking animals, animals, just animals” Imus nodded in agreement.  Imus slandered Presidential candidate Barack Obama saying that he has a “Jew-hating name” and said he agreed with politicians who called for the dropping of nuclear bombs on Makkah.

Prof. Rafael Israeli said, in a speech in Australia:  “You have to adopt some kind of preventative policy. In order not to get there, limit the immigration and therefore you keep them a marginal minority, which will be a nuisance, but cannot pose a threat to the demographic and security aspects of a country.”

Cheri Jacobus On MSNBC News Live, said she thought it was “a little bit strange” that “we’re focusing on” controversial remarks by Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA) instead of Rep.-elect Keith Ellison (D-MN), whom Jacobus called “a newly elected member of Congress trying to cause controversy.”

Glen Jenvey made up the whole story about Muslim group in Britain having a “hit list” of British Jews.

Joel’s Army, Theocratic Sect Prays for Real Armageddon “The trumpet is sounding, calling on-fire, revolutionary believers to enlist in Joel’s Army. ... Many are now ready to be mobilized to establish and advance God’s kingdom on earth.”

Satoshi Kanazawa said in Psychology Today “These generalizations appear to hold for most societies, cultures, races, ethnicities, religions, and languages, except for Muslims.  For them, being a Muslim appears to be an all-encompassing, all-consuming identity that overrides and trumps everything else.  For them, nothing else – their race, their nationality, their occupation, their language – matters except for being Muslim, which unites all Muslims in the world. ...  Nobody would dream of asking Catholic Americans “Do you consider yourself to be Catholic first or American first?”  That would be absurd, to the point of nonsensical.  Yet it is not an absurd question to ask of Muslims…”

Bill Keller WTOG TV in Tampa said on the ‘Live Prayer with Bill Keller’ program ‘Islam is a 1400-year-old lie from the pits of hell. It’s leading a billion peoples [sic] to hell. . .those who follow this false religion will die and be lost for all eternity.’ On the same program, he also said, ‘The false religion of Islam is about hate, lies and death.’  VIDEO of his statements and a new video with a pig named Muhammad saying negative things about Islam. 11/07 He plans to open a center near ground zero in NYC to counter the Cordoba House and explains ” We will combat the lies of this world and Islam with the Truth. We will combat the hatred of this world and Islam with love. We will combat the violence of this world and Islam with peace. Finally, we will combat eternal death this world and Islam brings with life everlasting!”

Barrett Kallellis on Newsmax said: “Islam is not simply a system of theology, doctrine and laws, but more accurately, a political ideology disguised as a religion. It is totalitarian and supremacist and according to its central tenets, followers cannot question what they have been taught, and they must not tolerate other beliefs. In the Muslim mind, there are believers and there are infidels.” 6/07

Mike Keegan wrote on Frontline America ““So what conclusions can we draw? Well, it is simple but let me break it down for you anyway: A significant number of Muslims bedding down in the US consider themselves Muslim not American, they worship Islam and the culture of death instead of life, they support our enemies when in fact they are our enemies and the remaining balance of American Muslims will not stand up and defend America, their “homeland”, against these hate and evil filled people.  Maybe its time we wage a war here at home.”

Former Sen. Bob Kerry Kerry has apologized to Obama for raising the “issue” of Obama’s Muslim heritage.  In the apology Kerry said:  “What I found myself getting into in Iowa — and it was my own fault — it was the wrong moment to do it and it was insulting.  I meant no disrespect at all.”

Rep. Peter King, a Giuliani advisor saidthat there are: “Too Many Mosques” in the U.S.” - King also made comments suggesting American Muslims don’t cooperate with authorities.  In response to news that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had released a report warning of rightwing radicalism, King told MSNBC that DHS “has never put out a report talking about “look out for mosques. Raymond Kraft in an article Islam versus Civilization “Islam today, as it is manifest in the “Islamic Resistance Movement,” which is merely a transparent euphemism for its religious war, its Jihad against everything but itself and everyone who is not Muslim, is a culture, and it is a religion, but it is not a Civilization.  It rejects the one core principle, the one irreducible principle, the one necessary element of Civilization, the one idea without which Civilization does not and cannot exist: treat others as you would like them to treat you.  Respect their freedom, their lives, their right to be different from yourself, to think and believe differently and live differently.  This, Civilization does.  This, Islam does not do.”

Charles Krauthammer, the Qur’an inspires terrorism.  He also said regarding the Virginia Tech massacre:  “What you can say, just—not as a psychiatrist, but as somebody who’s lived through the a past seven or eight years, is that if you look at that picture, it draws its inspiration from the manifestos, the iconic photographs of the Islamic suicide bombers over the last half decade in Palestine, in Iraq and elsewhere.  That’s what they end up leaving behind, either on al Jazeera or Palestinian TV. And he, it seems, as if his inspiration for leaving the message behind in that way, might have been this kind of suicide attack, which, of course, his was. And he did leave the return address return “Ismail Ax.” “Ismail Ax.” I suspect it has some more to do with Islamic terror and the inspiration than it does with the opening line of Moby Dick.”

Mark Krekorian in National Review “Here’s the way it will play out: When Iran’s Islamic regime finally unravels, some significant number of nominal Muslims will quickly become apostates, embracing Bahai or Zoroastrianism or Christianity (or Buddhism or even Judaism). As this becomes a more widespread and public thing, some of the many remaining fundamentalists will start beheading newly Christian school children and raping newly Zoroastrian women and blowing up newly constructed Bahai temples, intensifying the existing popular disgust with the Islamic faith and thus accelerating conversions to other faiths.” 8/24/07

The test of those values is the Bible. Politicians who do not use the bible to guide their public and private lives do not belong in office.”

Sonny Landman a Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate from Kentucky said in addition to announcing his support of a blanket ban on all Arab immigration to the United States and referring to Arabs as “camel-dung shovelers”, he also made comments in which he seemingly advocated for indiscriminate attacks on Arab peoples during an appearance on the Weekly Filibuster internet radio program.  7/08

Rep. Frank Lassee  sent out a newsletter which said in part “The Pope’s comments were right on the mark. Islam is NOT a religion of peace. It doesn’t have a peaceful history of co-existence. And has created empires whose main goal was to convert or destroy all non-believers.  Islam IS a religion intent on conquering the world. This global domination is preached and encouraged by Imams in mosques. And it is a central theme in the Koran, the Islamic Bible, and is an important part of their history.”

Hal Lindsey If there is a “peaceful” majority of Muslims, they had better speak out clearly and strongly against the growing power of the fundamentalists, or they will be confused with the Muslims who bring future terrorist acts against this country.  When Muslim fundamentalists launch attacks against our citizens that kill tens of thousands, there will surely be a release of fury that will not be so discerning of what kind of a Muslim a person is, unless he has made it very clear beforehand.

Thomas W. Lippman said in U.S. News & World Report “Fear of God’s inexorable judgment, rather than love of the deity, is the most powerful motivator in Islam.”

They are what they have been throughout history. Sadly, every indication suggests that they will continue to pursue a course of brutality and chaos. It appears that we will either have to fight them or surrender to them. The eventual outcome of these inevitable choices is yet to be determined.” 6/07

Edward Luttwak, senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies said in an article “Three Myths About Islam”“The only reason the continuity of Muslim aggression is news to some is because until recently almost all Muslim countries were under European colonial rule or subjected to European protectorates. Under Christian rule, Muslims could hardly continue to attack. With de-colonialization, the violence resumed.”

Michelle Malkin said “I stopped using the terms “Islamic fascist” and “Islamofascism” a while ago…because they obscure rather than clarify. The views held by the Muslim jihadis who want to destroy us are not marginal views held only by a minority of “Islamic fascists.”  When Dunkin Donuts hired Rachel Ray to help promote one of their iced-coffee drinks. They shot the commercial and Ray wore a black and white checkered scarf with a paisley floral design around her neck.  Immediately Malkin, a FOX New “commentator” declared that Ray’s choice of clothing “has come to symbolize murderous Palestinian jihad. Popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking, the apparel has been mainstreamed by both ignorant — and not-so-ignorant — celebrities, and left-wing icons.”

We are told this is a small majority [sic] of Muslim’s [sic] in America, but it is truly what they are all about…You disrespect/dishonor them or their religion and you should die (they don’t even blink at killing their own wives/daughters, because they are justified by their religion)…”

Rep. Lois McMahan, (R)  said  “It’s an issue of patriotism.  The Islamic religion is so . . . part and parcel with the attack on America.  I just didn’t want to be there, be a part of that.  Even though the mainstream Islamic religion doesn’t profess to hate America, nonetheless it spawns the groups that hate America.”  “[T]he religion is the focal point of the hate-America sentiment in the world.”  “My god is not Mohammed.”

Steve Mickel described the evangelizing he was doing while passing out food in the predominantly Sunni village of Ad Dawr, Iraq:  “I am able to give them tracts on how to be saved, printed in Arabic. I wish I had enough Arabic Bibles to give them as well. The issue of mailing Arabic Bibles into Iraq from the U.S. is difficult (given the current postal regulations prohibiting all religious materials contrary to Islam except for personal use of the soldiers). But the hunger for the Word of God in Iraq is very great, as I have witnessed first-hand.”

Those who profess a sincere belief in Allah say “no! ... Enough evidence exists for Congress to question Ellison’s qualifications to be a member of Congress as well as his commitment to the Constitution in view of his apparent determination to embrace the Quran and an Islamic philosophy directly contrary to the principles of the Constitution. But common sense alone dictates that in the midst of a war with Islamic terrorists we should not place someone in a position of great power who shares their doctrine. In 1943, we would never have allowed a member of Congress to take their oath on “Mein Kampf,” or someone in the 1950s to swear allegiance to the “Communist Manifesto.” Congress has the authority and should act to prohibit Ellison from taking the congressional oath today!”

Rev. Robert Morey said “The greatest weakness of Islam is that it is hopelessly tied to sacred cities and buildings,” Morey writes in his book Winning the War Against Radical Islam. “If these cities and buildings were destroyed, Islam would die within a generation as it would be apparent to all that its god could not protect the three holiest sites in Islam.” Morey then goes on to outline his draconian proposal: “With American ships stationed all around Arabia and troops on the ground within Saudi Arabia itself, it would take about seven minutes for cruise missiles to take out Mecca and Medina. These cities could be vaporized in minutes and there is nothing the Saudis or any other Muslim country could do to stop us. The Israelis could take out the Dome Mosque at the same time. It could happen so fast that no one would have the time to respond. With these surgical strikes, few lives would be lost. And, with three strikes against them, Islam is out!... We must tell all the Muslim countries that are presently supporting and harboring terrorists that if they do not cease and desist at once, we will destroy the heart of their religion.” (pp. 168-169)

And that’s a fight we don’t want to have played out in Iraq.” O’Reilly responded: “Well, I’d like to see that fight with us out of it. That’s what I’d like to see.” O’Reilly continued: “I want—let them kill each other.”- Discussing Iraq during the January 24 edition of his radio show, O’Reilly claimed that “the Sunni and Shia want to kill each other. ... They have fun. This is—they like this. This is what Allah tells them to do, and that’s what they do.” O’Reilly then asserted that the “essential mistake of the war” was failing to anticipate that “these people would act like savages, and they are.” Later, O’Reilly said that he had not predicted that the Iraqis “were going to act like savages in the aftermath of Saddam [Hussein],” and added: “[N]ow, Iran, we know they’re savages.”  - On the November 29, 2006, broadcast of his radio show, O’Reilly denied that Iraq is in a “civil war as NBC News wants you to think” and asserted that “they’re all Muslims, and they’re doing what they do. They’re killing each other. And they’re killing Americans.”  - On the August 16, 2006, edition of The O’Reilly Factor, O’Reilly argued extensively for “profiling of Muslims” at airports, arguing that detaining all “Muslims between the ages of 16 and 45” for questioning “isn’t racial profiling,” but “criminal profiling.”

Adam Taiichi Oshida  said “Many have noted in recent months that I’ve spent an increasing amount of time discussing the broader Islamic threat as opposed to merely the Islamist threat. That’s because I’ve come to a simple conclusion: if Western Civilization is to survive, Islam must be destroyed. The two are not compatible and cannot co-exist on a single planet.”  and also “Well, let me say two things right now. First: I agree with Mr. Griffin that Islam is a wicked, vicious faith. There can be, and are, good Moslems but that does not change the obvious and fundamental fact that Islam itself is, in general, a bad thing and that we’d all be better off had it never been created. Second: I agree that Moslems are a threat to Britain, to Canada, to America and to free people everywhere.”

Rev. In fact, I will tell you this: I do not believe our country can truly fulfill its divine purpose until we understand our historical conflict with Islam. I know that this statement sounds extreme, but I do not shrink from its implications. The fact is that America was founded, in part, with the intention of seeing this false religion destroyed, and I believe September 11, 2001, was a generational call to arms that we can no longer ignore.”  Rev. Rod Parsley, a key McCain ally in Ohio, has called for eradicating the “false religion” of Islam 3/08

Frank Pastore, a Townhall columnist wrote an article (bringing up the lie of dar al-harb, dar al-Islam division of the world - will none of these people ever acknowledge dar al-Hudna, dar al-Ahd, or dar al-Sulh) and says:  “Americans are alarmed by the advance of Islam into our society, and properly so, for who will assimilate to whom? Could a Muslim have written the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Constitution? Does Islam believe in the separation of church and state, that all men are created equal, that there should be no religious test for political office holders, that government ought to be secular?”  The answer, of course, is no.”

But some prejudices are built on real facts, and history generally proves me right.”  He also said “Yes, I know: Muslims are nice cuddly people like the rest of us, the majority of them certainly. The problem is that at this moment in history you have to take the proposition on faith. No, not any particular faith, just faith.”  He said “But, frankly, Muslim life is cheap, most notably to Muslims. And among those Muslims led by the Imam Rauf there is hardly one who has raised a fuss about the routine and random bloodshed that defines their brotherhood. So, yes, I wonder whether I need honor these people and pretend that they are worthy of the privileges of the First Amendment which I have in my gut the sense that they will abuse.”

Raphael Petai  in his book The Arab Mind makes racist statements such as: “Why are most Arabs, unless forced by dire necessity to earn their livelihood with ‘the sweat of their brow’, so loath to undertake any work that dirties the hands?” “The all-encompassing preoccupation with sex in the Arab mind emerges clearly in two manifestations ...” “In the Arab view of human nature, no person is supposed to be able to maintain incessant, uninterrupted control over himself. Any event that is outside routine everyday occurrence can trigger such a loss of control ... Once aroused, Arab hostility will vent itself indiscriminately on all outsiders.”

Lt. Col. Ralph Peters shared his analysis of what threatens American society on Fox News’ O’Reilly Factor: “Its clear that the problem is Islam.”  And, according to the Huffington Post, this is the same Ralph Peters who in “His new novel, The War After Armageddon, recounts how a revitalized Christianized United States government dispatches a reorganized National Guard called the “Military Order of the Brothers in Christ” to crusade against Muslims who have attacked the United States and destroyed Israel and Europe.”  He also said “sick of hearing that Islam is a religion of peace ... Daniel Pipes Says all Muslims are to be feared.  11-07 In an article in Commentary magazine he recommends “vigilant application of social and political pressure to ensure that Islam is not accorded special status of any kind in this country.” (Commentary, November 2001)  The “special status” Pipes refers to includes ordinary religious accommodations for Muslims in the workplace and “inclusion of Muslims in affirmative-action plans.” In that same article, Pipes wrote: “The Muslim population in this country is not like any other group……they harbor designs for this country that warrant urgent and serious attention.”  Pipes said: “Conversion to Islam substantially increases the probability of a person’s involvement in terrorism.”  Pipes also said “There is no escaping the unfortunate fact that Muslim government employees in law enforcement, the military and the diplomatic corps need to be watched for connections to terrorism.” - Pipes’ article “Islamism 2.0” which is a disturbing article in which he calls violent terrorists like bin Laden, followers of Islamism 1.0 and people like Keith Ellison and Tariq Ramadan, followers of Islamism 2.0 which according to Pipes is non violent, but only strategically so, and much more dangerous. - In a 1990 article “The Muslims Are Coming, The Muslims Are Coming”, Daniel Pipes could only come up with what now seems like a lame comment on Muslim hygiene:  “Fears of a Muslim influx have more substance than the worry about jihad. West European societies are unprepared for the massive immigration of brown-skinned peoples cooking strange foods and not exactly maintaining Germanic standards of hygiene.”  Pipes has also warned (American Jewish Congress, 10/21/01) that “the presence, and increased stature, and affluence, and enfranchisement of American Muslims” entail “true dangers” for American Jews.  Pipes also said regarding the Khalil Gibran school “learning Arabic in itself promotes an Islamic outlook.”  He said he supported such a school in principle because the country needs native-born Arabic speakers. But Pipes warned that in practice, “Arabic language instruction is inevitably laden with pan-Arabist and Islamist baggage…”

Ron Pisaturo  in an article in Capitalism magazine, “The rights of one American, whether a soldier or a civilian, are worth more than the lives of all men, women and children in all these nations combined. Over time, pioneers, with the paid support of our military, can go into these isolated territories, subdue the remaining savages, install a civilized, colonial government protecting the rights of both the pioneers and the savages, and settle the land—as American pioneers subdued the savage, murderous American Indian tribes and settled America.”

Bernie Planck of Planck’s Constant on J Blog Central (Jewish Blog) said “I do not hate Muslims, however I do fear Islam. I present anti-Muslim jokes to ridicule Islam, the Quran, and Mohammed. I do so in the hope of helping those who do not realize that being a Muslim is exactly the same as being a Nazi. I fear that what is happening with the Islamization of Europe will happen here.”  He said “Army sniper Staff Sergeant Jim Gilliland, who has an estimated 55 to 65 kills in less than five months, has set a new record for the longest confirmed kill in Iraq at over three-quarters of a mile. 1 down, 1 billion to go. Of course, if all the Muslims in Europe and America were to kindly get out, it would make it easier for us to get rid of all of Islam.”

Dennis Prager  said that Keith Ellison should not be allowed to take his oath on the Qur’an, and “he should not be allowed to do so—not because of any American hostility to the Koran, but because the act undermines American civilization.”  and further “Insofar as a member of Congress taking an oath to serve America and uphold its values is concerned, America is interested in only one book, the Bible. If you are incapable of taking an oath on that book, don’t serve in Congress.”   He also said “Devotees of multiculturalism and political correctness who do not see how damaging to the fabric of American civilization it is to allow [newly-elected Congressman Keith] Ellison to choose his own book need only imagine a racist elected to Congress. Would they allow him to choose Hitler’s “Mein Kampf,” the Nazis’ bible, for his oath?”

Burt Prelutsky, World Net Daily, “But here on planet Earth, Islam is a religion whose mullahs preach sermons of death to the infidels. And just in case you haven’t noticed, that includes everybody who doesn’t spend several minutes every day bowing down to Mecca.”

Pushing At An Open Door - Islamophobic Statement, “The simple answer is that there’s no either/or there. Nature abhors a vacuum. Islam is an opportunistic infection, taking advantage of a body already rotted by Liberalism. Let’s face it – Islam isn’t advancing through the force of the ideology. Islam teaches that people are slaves to a brutal moon god who demands blind obedience even on the most trivial of things. The closest you get to any kind of hopeful message in Islam is the belief that if you kill enough Infidels, you’ll get an invite to Big Mo’s Whorehouse in the sky. Is it any wonder they need to threaten death to anyone who leaves such an inspiring religion ?”

Gary Potter of Catholics for Christian Political Action who said “When the Christian majority takes over this country ... pluralism will be seen as immoral and evil and the state will not permit anybody the right to practice evil.”

Jim Quinn on the October 29 broadcast of The War Room said that “[t]here’s only one way to settle the Palestine—the Palestine issue,” and that “is to level it and then salt the earth so that nothing grows for a thousand years, because that’s how the Muslims would have treated each other, and did.”  10/08 - and On his syndicated radio show, Jim Quinn referred to the National Organization for Women as “the National Organization for Whores,” and said of Philadelphia Daily News columnist Fatimah Ali: “[Y]ou know, Fatimah, what’s your real name? Come on, seriously. I mean, get an American name, will you, if you want to be an American.” He then asked: “You don’t suppose she’s a liberal black Muslim, do you?” 9/08   Jim Quinn on Quinn & Rose radio program on Islam: “It must be defeated on the battlefield. You’ve got to kill it before it before it kills us.” 9/09   He also chalks up Black conversions to Islam as nothing other than an attempt to “reject our culture.”  7/09 He also said that Islam is a “Neanderthal religion” that “enslave[s] black people” 9/09

Terry Randall said about Islam:  “I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you,” Terry told the Fort Wayne (Indiana) News-Sentinel a few years ago. “I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good ... Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a Biblical duty; we are called by God to conquer this country. We don’ t want equal time. We don’t want pluralism.”

Councilman Redman of the Jacksonville, FL City Council said to newly elected Muslim member of the council “Pray to your God for us.”

Republican National Trust - Read their Islamophobic comments about the Cordoba House here.

Naomi Riley said in a Wall Street Journal article in a discussion after Mitt Romney’s speech - “A recent Pew poll shows that only 53% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Mormons. That’s roughly the same percentage who feel that way toward Muslims. By contrast, more than three-quarters of Americans have a favorable opinion of Jews and Catholics. Whatever the validity of such judgments, one has to wonder: Why does a faith professed by the 9/11 hijackers rank alongside that of a peaceful, productive, highly educated religious group founded within our own borders?” 12/07

Rev. Pat Robertson who said  that “those who believe in the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims”  Rev. Robertson also said that there is “... a veritable infestation of America with violent subversive Muslims…”  Rev. Pat Robertson - on the election of Muslims like Rep. Keith Ellison and local officials in Houston pose a threat to America.  “The curse of God is to bring in people who don’t share your point of view and then ultimately destroy your civilization,” Robertson said March 20 on his “700 Club” TV program. “Well, that’s what we’re facing for our children and grandchildren.”  Robertson said Islam’s agenda is to “take over the government and that everybody else is a second-class citizen.”  “That is the primary doctrine of Islam, and when Islamic people take over before long they want to institute Sharia, or the law according to the Quran, which has to do with cutting off the hands of thieves and stoning adulterous women to death and all the rest of it,” he said. 3/07.  He said on The 700 Club, following a report on Muslims in Minneapolis seeking religious accommodations at school and work, “Ladies and gentlemen, we have to recognize that Islam is not a religion. It is a worldwide political movement meant on domination of the world. And it is meant to subjugate all people under Islamic law.” He characterized the American Muslim community as “Islam light” and went on to say Muslims “want to take over and we want to impose Sharia on you. And before long, ladies are going to be dressed in burqas and whatever garments they would put on them, and next thing you know, men are going to be allowed to have wife-beating and you’ll be beheading adulterers and so on and so forth.”  Robertson aired his annual predictions , forecasting an economic recovery and a rejection of Islam as a “religion of hate.”  1/09 Robertson blurred the distinction between radical Islamists and the Muslim community at large, claiming that Islam instructs its followers to commit acts of terrorism, and said that the ‘real war is Islam vs. Judaeo-Christian ideology”.  Pat Robertson said “You say you’re supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense! I don’t have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist. I can love the people who hold false opinions, but I don’t have to be nice to them.”  Robertson on the Sean Hannity radio program said about the Prophet Muhammad: “This man was an absolute wild-eyed fanatic. He was a robber and a brigand. And to say that these terrorists distort Islam, they’re carrying out Islam.” In the program’s second segment, Robertson said: “[The Quran, Islam’s revealed text] is strictly a theft of Jewish theology. I mean, this man [Muhammad] was a killer. And to think that this is a peaceful religion is fraudulent.”   Pat Robertson On the Christian Broadcasting Corp.’s 700 Club, host expressed concern that Americans, “especially the American left,” need to “wake up” to the “danger” that Islam presents. Robertson continued: “Who ever heard of such a bloody, bloody, brutal type of religion? But that’s what it is. It is not a religion of peace.” - Pat Robertson said “Islam is essentially a Christian heresy” that “picked up snippets of the gospels,” and other Biblical texts and is now taking “everything that Jesus said” and “transport[ing it] into this fictional Mahdi.” Robertson also perpetuated Jewish stereotypes in a discussion about the need for Israeli soup kitchens, stating that “When you think of Jewish people, you think of successful businessmen” who are “very wise in finance and who are prosperous.”  Regarding Hugo Chavez, Robertson said  “I don’t know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we’re trying to assassinate him, I think we really ought to go ahead and do it. It’s a whole lot cheaper than starting a war, and I don’t think any oil shipments will stop…We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability.”

The “Rogue Jew” on Mens News Daily.  “Some people think every city should hold a privately organized Koran flushing festival every year on September 11. During this festival we can take a few hours to mourn the human losses at the hands of such a corrupt, violent faith and enumerate historical atrocities inspired by this sad excuse for a holy book.” (article contains offensive illustrations)

Timothy Rollins said that Muslims should be kicked out of the armed forces.  In a recent column he stated, “What [the Fort Hood] attack does is further strengthen the case for the honorable discharge of all Muslims from the United States Armed Forces, regardless of the degree to which they may adhere to their faith.”  He also repeats the lie that almost all terrorists have been Muslims.

Mitt Romney -  ” . . . based on the numbers of American Muslims [as a percentage of] our population, I cannot see that a Cabinet position would be justified. But of course, I would imagine that Muslims could serve at lower levels of my administration.” 11/07 Mitt Romney said at the RNC “Is a Supreme Court liberal or conservative that awards Guantanamo terrorists with constitution rights?” Romney said. “John McCain hit the nail on the head: radical violent Islam is evil, and he will defeat it!”  9/08

Rabbi Yisrael Rosen, director of the Tsomet Institute said: “All of the Palestinians must be killed; men, women, infants, and even their beasts.”

Sid Rosenberg an Imus anchor said referring to Palestinians “They’re all brainwashed, though. That’s what it is. And they’re stupid to begin with, but they’re brainwashed now. Stinking animals. They ought to drop the bomb right there, kill ‘em all right now.”

Allyson Rowen-Taylor, a Jewish activist in L.A. at an interfaith screening for the film A Mighty Heart he likened CAIR’s involvement to “David Duke co-sponsoring ‘Schindler’s List.’” “The only reason they like this film is because it’s about a dead Jew,” he said. 6/07

Jim Rudd who said in The Covenant News ”Civil officials have a God ordained duty to execute sodomites.”

Bob Rush - “We surely have learned our lesson by now about Islamic loyalty. They actually have no country to die for. Even if they did, they would quickly die for Mohammed and Islam long before they would die for the nation in which they live. In that regard, such terms as German-Islamists, British-Islamists, French-Islamists, American Islamists, etc., etc., are useful only to identify the country in which they reside. Also, it is extremely dangerous to try to differentiate Islamic adherents anywhere in the world by such terms as “radical” or “peaceful” or “nonviolent” or “innocent.” An Islamist by any other name is still an Islamist.  We are making a grave mistake to believe in a peaceful, nonviolent, innocent follower of Islam. Until they (as a worldwide group) stand up and boldly disassociate themselves from the so-called “radical” faction of their religion, all of Islam, by definition, is America’s enemy whether we will admit it or not.” 9/07

Rev.  R. J. Rushdoony who said “All who are content with a humanistic law system and do not strive to replace it with Biblical law are guilty of idolatry. They have forsaken the covenant of their God, and they are asking us to serve other gods. They are thus idolaters, and are, in our generation, when our world is idolatrous and our states also, to be objects of missionary activity. They must be called out of their idolatry into the service of the living God.” (Law and Society: Volume II of the Institutes of Biblical Law (Vallecito, CA: Ross House Books, 1982), pp. 468, 316).  And, “The church today has fallen prey to the heresy of democracy.”  (The Institutes of Biblical Law (Nutley, NJ: Craig Press, 1973), p. 747).

John Rutherford who said  “The [Supreme] Court, by seeking to equate Christianity with other religions, merely assaults the one faith. The Court in essence is assailing the true God by democratizing the Christian religion.”

Rev. Reza Safa who said “Islam is not a religion; it’s a political system. That political system, just like communism, is a threat to our existence. ... [Unless the church realizes] this religion is evil in its core beliefs [and], the American public realizes this, we will continue to have problems with radicalism.”  And he called the Muslim prayer gathering on Capitol Hill a “slap in the face of Christianity.”  9/09

Congressman Bill Sali of Idaho In an interview posted online by the Christian news outlet American Family News Network, Sali said: “We have not only a Hindu prayer being offered in the Senate, we have a Muslim member of the House of Representatives now, Keith Ellison from Minnesota. Those are changes — and they are not what was envisioned by the Founding Fathers. The principles that this country was built on, that have made it great over these centuries were Christian principles derived from Scriptures. You know, the Lord can cause the rain to fall on the just and the unjust alike.”

Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian organization sent unsolicited copies of the New Testament in Arabic to our troops in Saudi Arabia.  According to Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf:  “A little note with each book read: ‘Enclosed is a copy of the New Testament in the Arab language. You may want to get a Saudi friend to help you to read it.’

SANE (Society of Americans for National Existence) - released a policy paper that in part stated: “Whereas, adherence to Islam as a Muslim is prima facie evidence of an act in support of the overthrow of the US. Government through the abrogation, destruction, or violation of the US Constitution and the imposition of Shari’a on the American People . . .  It shall be a felony punishable by 20 years in prison to knowingly act in furtherance of, or to support the, adherence to Islam.” 2/2007

Michael Savage - On the July 2 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, discussing the recent terror-related arrests in Britain, radio host Michael Savage said, “[W]hen I see a woman walking around with a burqa, I see a Nazi,” adding, “That’s what I see—how do you like that?—a hateful Nazi who would like to cut your throat and kill your children.” Savage also said that when a Muslim woman wears a burqa, “She’s doing it to spit in your face. She’s saying, ‘You white moron, you, I’m going to kill you if I can.’ ” 7/2/07 and [2]  “I’m not gonna put my wife in a hijab. And I’m not gonna put my daughter in a burqa. And I’m not gettin on my all-fours and praying to Mecca. And you could drop dead if you don’t like it. You can shove it up your pipe. I don’t wanna hear anymore about Islam. I don’t wanna hear one more word about Islam. Take your religion and shove it up your behind. I’m sick of you.”  “What kind of religion is this? What kind of world are you living in when you let them in here with that throwback document in their hand, which is a book of hate. Don’t tell me I need reeducation. They need deportation. I don’t need reeducation. Deportation, not reeducation. You can take C-A-I-R and throw ‘em out of my country. I’d raise the American flag and I’d get out my trumpet if you did it. Without due process. You can take your due process and shove it.” “What sane nation that worships the U.S. constitution, which is the greatest document of freedom ever written, would bring in people who worship a book that tells them the exact opposite. Make no mistake about it, the Quran is not a document of freedom. The Quran is a document of slavery and chattel. It teaches you that you are a slave.”  10/27/07 Michael Savage on The Savage Nation, discussing a caller’s statement that “Muslim fundamentalists” are “walk[ing] around Northern Virginia as if they own the place,” Michael Savage asked, “Why would a nation that is as evolved as America, and as liberal as America is socially, want to bring in throwbacks who are living in the 15th century?” He also asked: “What is the societal benefit of bringing in throwbacks, some of whom are no doubt terrorists, and some of whom are gonna produce children who will become terrorists?” 9/08 Savage said “Arabs aren’t really human and most Americans would just like to drop a nuclear bomb on them - any of them”. .  He also called Arabs “non-humans” and “racist, fascist bigots”; asserted that Americans would like to “drop a nuclear weapon” on any Arab country; and that “these people” in the Middle East “need to be forcibly converted to Christianity” in order to “turn them into human beings.”  Michael Savage declared that in order to “save the United States,” lawmakers should institute “an outright ban on Muslim immigration” into the country. Savage also recommended making “the construction of mosques illegal in America, and the speaking of English only in the streets of the United States the law.”  - Michael Savage  called for “kill[ing] 100 million” Muslims. . .  Savage told listeners that “intelligent people, wealthy people ... are very depressed by the weakness that America is showing to these psychotics in the Muslim world. They say, ‘Oh, there’s a billion of them.’ ” Savage continued: “I said, ‘So, kill 100 million of them, then there’d be 900 million of them.’ I mean ... would you rather us die than them? - On the October 23, 2006, edition of his radio show, Savage said of Ethiopians: “The people down there have flies around their eyes,” adding, “I never went into an Ethiopian restaurant. The Ethiopians come here to eat American food.” Earlier in the broadcast, while discussing Ramadan and the continued violence in Iraq, Savage suggested that Islam is “a bloodthirsty religion that’s practiced over there by a bunch of throwbacks, and we’re gonna to kill ‘em.” Savage called for the United States to say: “That’s it, we’re leaving them; we’re killing them.” Michael Savage  Compared reports that incoming Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) “won’t swear to uphold the oath of office on the Bible, but on the Quran instead” to “[a] witch get[ting] elected” and saying “she’s gonna only be sworn in with her hand over a pentagram.” Savage called Ellison’s reported decision to be sworn in with a Quran “the tyranny of the psycho, whacked-out minority.”  Savage also said “I tell you right now - the largest percentage of Americans would like to see a nuclear weapon dropped on a major Arab capital. They don’t even care which one ... I think these people need to be forcibly converted to Christianity. It’s the only thing that can probably turn them into human beings.”

Laura Schlessinger called Muslims “murderers” on her nationally syndicated radio program.

Debbie Schlussel said: “Tough luck, Muslims.  Despite your endless whining, dogs will sniff you, anyway (if the stench doesn’t kill ‘em).” 6/08   Schlussel  also said in an article titled “Barack Hussein Obama: Once a Muslim, Always A Muslim” and posted on her website, right-wing pundit Schlussel argued that because Sen. Barack Obama’s (D-IL) middle name is Hussein, his late, estranged father was of Muslim descent, and he has shown interest in his father’s Kenyan heritage, Obama’s “loyalties” must be called into question as he emerges as a possible Democratic presidential candidate.

Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama who said “The civil libertarians among us would rather defend the constitution than protect our nation’s security.”

Jay Severin said he believes that Muslims in this country are a fifth column.

Rabbi Itzhak Shapira said “It is permissable to kill the Righteous among Nations even if they are not responsible for the threatening situation,” he wrote, adding: “If we kill a Gentile who has sinned or has violated one of the seven commandments - because we care about the commandments - there is nothing wrong with the murder.”

Professor Moshe Sharon said  there was “no possibility of peace between Israel and the Palestinians whatsoever, for ever.”

Rabbi Nachum Shifren, a West Bank Settler, a teacher in the Los Angeles educational system said “This will be a hard bullet for America to bite, but we are at war with Islam! Those who deny this are quislings or fifth-columnists — and very often, university professors and chancellors. With strong leadership, there would be no notions of “academic freedom” for those who come here to subvert and destroy.”  He also said “Without strength of character in our leaders, and the courage of our people, we are poised to become just another chapter in history — right next to the debauched and pillaged societies of Greece and Rome. The muslim onslaught is at the gates; they are weary of our self-indulgence and they abhor our eroding social mores and valueless culture. They are sharpening the long knives, knowing that their time will come shortly.”

Walid Shoebat In an interview in response to the question - what is your message for the Jewish people?  He said “Please take back the holy Temple Mount.”  On the Gordon Liddy radio program Shoebat said “No one is called Hussein unless he is Muslim. So it is very clear that Barack Hussein Obama is definitely a Muslim.” Shoebat also said: “In Islam, in the law of Sharia of Islam, the Prophet of Islam said ... whoever leaves the Islamic faith is to be killed. So what part of killing people don’t understand? He is not called to be killed by the Muslims. Why do they support him? I haven’t heard a really serious testimony of his Christian conversion. A Muslim who converts to Christianity, the first thing he does is denounces Islam. Has Barack Hussein Obama denounced Islam as a false religion?”

Robert Simonds, founder & president of Citizens for Excellence in Education who said “Atheistic secular humanists should be removed from office and Christians should be elected…Government and true Christianity are inseparable.”

Gene Simmons, the rock star called Islam “a vile culture that treats women worse than dogs.”

Ali Sina of Faith Freedom.org whose site says:  “We strive for the unity of Mankind through the elimination of Islam, the most insidious doctrine of hate. Islam can’t be reformed, but it can be eradicated. It can’t be molded, but it can be smashed. It is rigid but brittle. That is why Muslims do not tolerate criticism of it. To eradicate Islam, all we have to do is tell the truth. It’s that simple. The truth about Islam is out. It’s all here in this site. Now it is up to you to spread it. With truth, the decent Muslims will leave Islam and with each Muslim that leaves, we gain a new soldier in our fight against terrorism. We are growing exponentially. The days of Islam are numbered and world peace is around the corner. Many of us will see that day. We might have to go through very tough times meanwhile. The storm is approaching.  Sina also said “At FFI, we do not want to reform Islam. We want to eradicate it. Just as cancer cannot be reformed and the only way to cure the patient is to eradicate it, Islam cant be reformed either and it must be eradicated for the world to be saved.””  He also said  “Islam, like fascism, appeals to people with low self esteem and low intelligence. Both these ideologies are irrational. They disdain reason, and hail devotion and submission to a higher authority. Like fascists, Muslims are triumphalists. They seek power, domination and control. They pride themselves in their strength of number, in their mindless heroism, in their disdain for life and in their willingness to kill and die for their cause.    Islam is political and political Islam is fascism.”  He wrote “Tarek Fatah proves my point that there is no such thing as moderate Muslim ... Every “moderate” Muslim is a potential terrorist. The belief in Islam is like a tank of gasoline. It looks innocuous, until it meets the fire. For a “moderate” Muslim to become a murderous jihadist, all it takes is a spark of faith.”

url=http://mediamatters.org/items/200511300005] Michael A. Smerconish[/url] of Fox News’ The Radio Factor, guest host took issue with a recent decision by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority to provide a designated prayer area at Giants Stadium. The decision was in response to a September 19 incident involving the FBI’s detention and questioning of five Muslim men who were observed praying near the stadium’s main air duct during a New York Giants football game. Smerconish stated: “I just think that’s [the men’s public praying] wrong. I just think they’re playing a game of, you know, mind blank with the audience. And that they should know better four years removed from September 11.”

Bailey Smith, a founding father of Robertson’s Christian Coalition who said  “With all due respect to those dear people, my friend, God Almighty does not hear the prayer of a Jew.”

Col. Tom Snodgrass - “My analysis of the factors bearing on the adequacy and applicability of Christian Just War to the present conflict presented in this essay leads me to conclude that there is no question that jus ad bellum criteria are fully satisfied from the US standpoint.  And just as was the case in the World War II Pacific Theater, the Islamic enemy’s disregard for any human or Judeo-Christian standard of morality makes the application of normally acceptable jus in bello criteria absolutely impossible and therefore inapplicable. Furthermore, as World War II-era Americans accepted this reality and went on with the war approving whatever was necessary because “no prisoners” and “fire/nuclear bombing” were essential to quickly end an unjust Japanese-initiated war, so too Americans must now accept that all weapons and targets are justly within the “engagement” for US war fighters in this existential war against Islamic Jihad.  In this war, the stakes are even higher than they were in 1941.” - he is saying that all Muslims are the enemy. 5/2007

John Sobieski who said “We have several million Muslims in the US and all of them are terrorists, some use the tonque and the pen, not bombs, but all are scheming liars deceiving the naive infidels and our stupid leaders. Why don’t we BAN ISLAM and deport all Muslims? Political correctness and multiculturalism will destroy the West.”

Robert Spencer Islam itself is an incomplete, misleading, and often downright false revelation which, in many ways, directly contradicts what God has revealed through the prophets of the Old Testament and through his Son Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh… For several reasons… Islam constitutes a threat to the world at large.   Spencer regarding Keith Ellison taking an oath on the Qur’an “I hope there will be some who have the courage to point out that no American official should be taking an oath on the Qur’an, since—as we have been pointing out here for over three years now—there are so many elements of traditional and mainstream Islam that are at variance with our system of government, our Constitution, and our entire way of life. But since that is blandly denied and unexamined by the mainstream media and government officials, it is much more likely that Qur’anic oath-taking will be allowed without any discussion at all.”    He wrote regarding the Arab Israeli Knesset member who had sold secrets to Hisballah that “I have maintained from the beginning of this site and before that that there is no reliable way to distinguish a “moderate” Muslim who rejects the jihad ideology and Islamic supremacism from a “radical” Muslim who holds such ideas, even if he isn’t acting upon them at the moment. And the cluelessness and multiculturalism of Western officialdom, which make officials shy away from even asking pointed questions, only compound this problem.”  Then when the news came out that the Knesset member involved was Christian and not Muslim, a “correction” was posted:  “I have been reminded that Bishara is a Christian, which makes him instead of a false moderate, an example of what Hugh calls an “islamochristian,” or a dhimmi Christian who has imbibed the values of his Muslim overlords. I apologize for the error.”  He said regarding the Hutaree militia arrests “For years now we have heard, in the indelible formulation of Rosie O’Donnell, that “radical Christianity is just as dangerous as radical Islam,” and yet proponents of this exercise in wishful thinking and ignorance have had precious little evidence to adduce in support of it. But now it is certain that for years to come this Hutaree group will be thrown in the face of anyone who takes note of jihad activity in the United States and around the world, as if this group in itself balances and equals the innumerable Islamic groups that are waging armed jihad all around the world today.  ...  The Islamic jihad is global, well-financed (courtesy our friend and ally Saudi Arabia) and relentless. One self-proclaimed Christian group should not divert us from the ongoing need to defend ourselves against that jihad. But for many, it will.”  He said at CPAC “It’s absurd” to think that “Islam is a religion of peace that’s been hijacked by ... extremists”  He totally missed the point of the unconstitutionality of Franklin Graham speaking at the Pentagon and called the decision to exclude Graham “the Army’s dhimmitude”  A separate page of Spencer quotes is here (with responses)

Chuck Spignola who said “As cream rising to the top of the milk, so the Christian terrorist rises above the huddled masses of churchgoers and the many voices which denounce their violent attempts to defend the innocent from they’re [sic] murderous assailants.  Regarding abortion the separation is clear. The CT has the Word of God and a testimony of loving, albeit terrifying (to the wicked), actions.”

Rev. Charles Stanley said about the Iraq war that the U.S. government “... is ordained by God with the right to promote good and restrain evil,” Stanley said in his sermon. “This includes wickedness that exists within the nation, as well as any wicked persons or countries that threaten foreign nations ... Therefore, a government has biblical grounds to go to war in the nation’s defense or to liberate others in the world who are enslaved.” And sampling from a scattershot of biblical passages to inform his argument, Stanley warned that those who oppose or disobey the U.S. government in its drive to war “will receive condemnation upon themselves.”

Shawn Steel,  former CA state Republican Chairman attacked Anaheim City Council candidate Bill Dalati, an arab,  as potentially being “an extremist.”

Marcia Stirman, Otero County NM Republican Women Chair wrote a letter which included statements like:  “I believe Muslims are our enemies. … I believe war is a fact of life and we should always win. … I believe there is a moderate and a socialist in this election. I agree with a two-party system, but Obama isn’t a messiah or a democrat. He’s a Muslim socialist.”  10/08

Mark Steyn’s Final Solution to the Euro-Muslim Problem - Why did Bosnia collapse into the worst slaughter in Europe since World War Two? In the thirty years before the meltdown, Bosnian Serbs had declined from 43 percent to 31 percent of the population, while Bosnian Muslims had increased from 26 percent to 44 percent.  In a democratic age, you can’t buck demography—except through civil war. The Serbs figured that out—as other Continentals will in the years ahead: if you can’t outbreed the enemy, cull ’em. The problem that Europe faces is that Bosnia’s demographic profile is now the model for the entire continent. 2/07

Stop Islamization of America group says “SIOA’s mission is to educate the American people about the political doctrine of Islam, its history, Sharia (Islamic Law), and Jihad. SIOA believes that Sharia Law is incompatible with our Constitution and Bill of Rights”.

Barbara J. Stock “Islam is a shell game. Assisted by the “if it bleeds, it leads” motto of the media, Islam is able to keep the world’s attention on the terrorist attacks while “peaceful Islam” quietly goes about the business of taking over entire countries and working its way into the fabric of the legal and governmental systems of others. American Muslims are now petitioning that the call to prayer be blasted over loud speakers five times a day in quiet neighborhoods and towns. This is Islam’s next step in using democracy to destroy democracy. Always on the move, the quiet side of Islam is every bit as dangerous as the terrorists. The goals are the same, only the method varies.”

Wafa Sultan says you can’t be American and Muslim at the same time and on an August trip to Australia said: Islam was a “political ideology” that was wrongly perceived to have a moderate and hardline following.  “That’s why the West has to monitor the majority of Muslims because you don’t know when they’re ready to be activated. Because they share the same basic belief, that’s the problem.” She also said  “I believe King Abdullah can change Islam overnight, but you need to put pressure on him to do it, and the same kind of pressure you put on Japan, you might need it“ at that moment someone from the audience interjects and asks, “atom bombs?” Wafa Sultan replies, “Yes. At some point the West will need to do it.” This statement is quite revealing considering how in 2007, at a right-wing David Horowitz funded conference called “Restoration Weekend,” Wafa Sultan said, “I will change 1.3 billion Muslims…they have to realize they have only two choices: to change or to be crushed.”  She also said at CPAC “Islam is a ... dangerous political ideology which aspires to world domination”

Rev. Jimmy Swaggert who said “‘We ought to tell every other Moslem (sic) living in this nation that if you say one word, you’re gone.’ “

Rev. J. Grant Swank who said “It’s time to erect the internment camps worldwide.  Put Muslims into those camps. There is no safety for the planet unless we lock up every potential killer. Every Muslim is just that. The Koran states that deity has commanded every non-Muslim be slaughtered by Muslims. That makes every Muslim a potential warrior on the loose.  ... Therefore, for America for example to tolerate the Council on America-Islamic Relations (sic) ((CAIR) organization, satellite offices, and web site, is to invite killers into our back and front yards. This has to stop. It can only stop when all Muslims are put inside gates and behind fences, when hell-sponsored public relations efforts such as CAIR are closed down completely, and when Congress sees to it that this World War III is won by the non-Muslims.  There is no other answer.  ...  We are faced with idiotic, insane cultish killers who belong to no religion recognized by world religions researchers. Instead, non-Muslims are confronted by members of a persistent murdering cult.  Civilized nations immediately close down killing cults. America does and has. Therefore, its time to do that now.  Put Muslims in internment camps. Shut them out and off.”   He also objects to Muslim request by saying: That’s right. The killing cult known as “Islam” is actually proposing that the Muslim fast known as “Ramadan” be recognized by the US Congress as a “holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal.”  J. Grant Swank“Muslim fanatics are cultists—a part of a killing cult. Civilized countries put down killing cults. They don’t permit them to exist alongside legitimate religions.”  Swank also said The fact is that Islam is not a religion among religions. Christianity, Judaism, Shintoism, Confucianism, Buddhism and Hinduism do not advocate killing off all those who do not agree with their tenets. Islam advocates that all non-Muslims, being “infidels,” must be slain. Cowardly Muslims who do not enter into the slaughter are to be slain by zealot Muslims.” J.

Rep. Tancredo at a town hall meeting in Iowa “If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina,” Tancredo said at the Family Table restaurant. “Because that’s the only thing I can think of that might deter somebody from doing what they otherwise might do.”  Tancredo, in an interview with WND, said he believes the chickens are coming home to roost in France because, for years, the country with the largest Islamic population in Europe has ignored rising Muslim tensions within its own borders. The real issue the French “are now dealing with,” he said, “is [that] you cannot integrate some people into your society.”  Tancredo also proposed a “jihad prevention act”  He told a Danish journalist that Europe Should Deport its 20 Million Muslims.

Randy Taylor, Northeast Intelligence Network, True Islam, in its purest form is a danger, a threat to all other religions, cultures and peoples. It is a threat to civilization itself. Islam is uncivilized in its doctrine. It is uncivilized in its justice system. It affords no rights and freedoms. It condemns all activities outside its teachings. It makes no allowances for other religious beliefs. It calls for the extermination of peoples that worship any other religions. Its brings death to where there is life. 3/07

Bruce Tefft (A former top official of the CIA) said “Islamic terrorism is based on Islam as revealed through the Qu’ran.”

Randall Terry of Operation Rescue who said “America is under the judgment of God. And if we are ever going to rebuild this country, it must be under God’s law. Our goal must be simple: We must have a Christian nation built on God’s law, on the Ten Commandments. No apologies.” and who said  “I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you,  I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good ... Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a Biblical duty; we are called by God to conquer this country. We don’t want equal time. We don’t want pluralism.”  He also called Islam a “crescent menace”.

Cal Thomas writing in the Washington Times, offers an ugly, despicable attack on all Muslim Americans, whom he accuses of “the undermining of this nation from within … through deception, putting on a peaceful face while subtly plotting ways to bring America down.”  9/09   Thomas also said “It should now be clear that Israel cannot tolerate a huge Arab population within its borders, so a political decision must be made. Most Arabs and Palestinians appear to be nonviolent but it can be difficult to tell the difference…Israel should declare its intention to transfer large numbers of its Palestinian residents to Arab nations. . .Eviction is a better avenue to stability. Will it happen? Probably not. Should it? Yes.”  This is an advocation of ethnic cleansing 6/2001 in his column entitled “Coalition of Terror”  (Note:  this would be ethnic cleansing.)  -  Regarding the Cordoba House he said “Ask yourself: if you wanted to infiltrate a country, wouldn’t a grand strategy be to rapidly build mosques from Ground Zero in New York, to Temecula, Calif., and establish beachheads so fanatics could plan and advance their strategies under the cover of religious freedom and that great American virtue known as “tolerance,” which is being used against us?”

The model is provided by the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act (INA, the McCarran-Walter Act). It is possible that the “affiliation” thus defined will affect a number of people who do not actively identify with the goals and methods of the Jihadist core. That may be unfortunate but it is inevitable. Personal assurances by individuals thus affected certainly cannot be taken at face value: Islam not only allows, but mandates lying to “infidels” in order to gain political or any other advantage (i.e. Taqiyya, the concealment of one’s Islamic beliefs to non-Muslims).”

Bob Vander Plaats, Mike Huckabee’s Iowa campaign manager said on Tucker on MSNBC that “we’re fighting a radical religion in Islam” and that “the war on terror is a theological war.”

Tunku Varadarajan who said in an article in Forbes “The difference between “going postal,” in the conventional sense, and “going Muslim,” in the sense that I suggest, is that there would not necessarily be a psychological “snapping” point in the case of the imminently violent Muslim; instead, there could be a calculated discarding of camouflage—the camouflage of integration—in an act of revelatory catharsis.”

Rev. Jerry Vines, at the Southern Baptist Convention in St. Louis said that Prophet Muhammad was a “demon-possessed pedophile.” that, “Allah is not Jehovah either. September 11th was more than the biggest hate crime of the year. It was an act of war because Islam is at war with the West. The sooner that all Americans learn to accept that bitter, hard truth, then the better off we will be as a nation.”   Weyrich objecting to the “Eid” postage stamp “Accordingly, I am writing to suggest that the current stamps be withdrawn, to be overprinted with the image of the Twin Towers and then reissued. I have no doubt a majority of Americans would find the altered stamps a more appropriate commemoration of Islam than the current celebratory version.”

I have had enough of the Koran in the Netherlands.” He adds: “No Muslim immigrants should enter our country any more.”  He said in a statement asking for a tax on wearing a scarf in the Netherlands “Many Dutch are irritated by the pollution of public space by Islam. In other words, our streets in some places are increasingly looking like Mecca and Tehran. Scarves, hate-beards, burkas, men in long weird white frocks. Let us do something about that. Let us start to reconquer our streets, and ensure that the Netherlands will look like the Netherlands again.”

Mark Williams, organizer of Tea Party Express said “The animals of allah for whom any day is a great day for a massacre are drooling over the positive response that they are getting from New York City officials over a proposal to build a 13 story monument to the 9/11 Muslims who hijacked those 4 airliners. The monument would consist of a Mosque for the worship of the terrorists’ monkey-god and a “cultural center” to propagandize for the extermination of all things not approved by their cult.  The longest, most heavily researched and footnoted chapter in my book is about the fruit baskets and nut wads that gravitate to Islam and why it attracts such mental cases…”

Arlington Mayor Russell Wiseman posted a racist rant on his Facebook page which said in part “...you obama people need to move to a muslim country…oh wait, that’s America…pitiful…you know, our forefathers had it written in the original Constitution that ONLY property owners could vote, if that has stayed in there, things would be different…”

Frosty Wooldridge published a 5-part article which included statements such as ”... Muslims, if anything, prove clever.  Those now in the U.S. know their power grows in numbers, and also aware that they are “in competition” with the burgeoning Hispanic-Latino population.  Muslims, therefore, reproduce at a rate that is much higher than other groups in the U.S.  ...  Their methods in the U.S.—use our Constitution to their advantage.  Once they gain outright population power, they intend to revert to Sharia Law.  ...

Frank Wright at a National Religious Broadcasters convention said “calls for diversity and multiculturalism are nothing more than thinly veiled attacks on anyone willing, desirous or compelled to proclaim Christian truths.”

David Yarushalmi said “On the so-called Global War on Terrorism, GWOT, we have been quite clear along with a few other resolute souls. This should be a WAR AGAINST ISLAM and all Muslim faithful…At a practical level, this means that Shari’a and Islamic law are immediately outlawed. Any Moslem in America who adopts historical and traditional Shari’a will be subject to deportation. Mosques which adhere to Islamic law will be shut down permanently. No self-described or practicing Muslim, irrespective of his or her declarations to the contrary, will be allowed to immigrate to this country…”  He also said “Muslim civilization is at war with Judeo-Christian civilization…The Muslim peoples, those committed to Islam as we know it today, are our enemies.”  And, “Instead of a promise of victory, Sura 24:52 must be made ashes in the mouths of Muslims. NOTE:  We have had as part of our Muslim Voices against Terrorism and Extremism resources a section on responses to Islamophobia.  This was in five parts:  - Responses to Claims Made ABOUT Islam and Muslims in General - Responses to Claims Made ABOUT Qur’an Verses, Arabic Terms, Prophet Muhammad - Responses to False Claims ABOUT Muslim Individuals & Organizations & Incidents Involving Muslims - Responses to Actual Extremist Statements & Incidents of Extremism or violence BY Muslims - Responses to Claims Made BY Specific Individuals and Organizations About Muslims.  Because of a restriction in the possible length of articles, we were unable to organize these in a more user-friendly manner.  Our webmaster has now resolved this problem, and we have combined all these five sections into one section.  The entries are alphabetical, and it should now be much easier to locate a response to a particular issue, incident, or individual.  In order to keep load time down for our readers, this single resource will still be divided into two sections:  A to L, and M to Z.  If you do a control-F search of the pages for the topic or name you are looking for, you should find it very easy to navigate.  We have attempted to cross reference as much as possible.
